Hello! I'm Jane, an English Language tutor, writer, and a 400-level Medicine and Surgery student at Ahmadu Bello University. I believe that learning English should be engaging, interactive, and confidence-building. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and student-centered. I create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them. Every lesson is tailored to each student's learning pace, strengths, and goals. I have formal teaching experience as an English Language and Verbal Reasoning teacher at Goodnews Primary School, Ugbokolo, Okpokwu Local Government Area, Benue State, where I taught in 2021. During my time there, I helped pupils improve their reading, writing, pronunciation, and overall English proficiency. Watching students grow from struggling readers into confident communicators remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my teaching journey. As a writer, I understand the importance of communicating ideas clearly and effectively, and I bring that same attention to detail into my lessons. Whether we are working on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, pronunciation, essay writing, or spoken English, my goal is to help every student develop the skills and confidence to communicate with ease. I am passionate about teaching because I love seeing people become confident in English. Although English may not be their native language, it is one of the world's most widely spoken and influential languages. Being able to communicate effectively in English can open doors to educational opportunities, career growth, and meaningful connections across the world. Knowing that I can play a part in helping my students reach that level of confidence is what inspires me to teach.
