📘 RESPIRATION (AEROBIC & ANAEROBIC)

Respiration is the process by which living organisms release energy from food (usually glucose).
It is not the same as breathing — breathing is ventilation, but respiration happens in the cells.

Definition:

4️⃣ ANAEROBIC RESPIRATION

Definition:

Anaerobic respiration is the breakdown of glucose without oxygen to release a small amount of energy.

It occurs when oxygen is not enough or absent.


Two types of anaerobic respiration:

A. In Animals (including humans)

Occurs during intense exercise when muscles lack oxygen.
