HEAT TRANSFER (Conduction, Convection & Radiation)

Heat transfer is basically how heat moves from a hotter place to a cooler place.
And just like humans, heat has three major “transportation methods” 😭👇

1. CONDUCTION

This is heat transfer through solids, from particle to particle, without the material itself moving.

How It Works

Examples

Good & Bad Conductors

2. CONVECTION

This is heat transfer in liquids and gases.
It happens because hot fluid rises and cold fluid sinks — a natural “up and down” cycle.

How It Works

Examples

3. RADIATION

This is heat transfer without any medium — it can travel through empty space.

How It Works

Heat travels as electromagnetic waves (infrared).
