Use your UTME Application Number as your username and your surname in lowercase as your password.

After logging in, generate your payment advice slip. You will use this to make payment either online through the portal or at any commercial bank.

Step 5 — Complete your screening form

Return to the portal after payment is confirmed and complete your screening form with accurate personal and academic details.

Upload your O'Level results on both JAMB CAPS and the UNILAG portal. This must be done before August 14, 2026. Do not leave this to the last day.

Step 7 — Print your Post UTME Examination Pass

What Is the UNILAG Post UTME Aptitude Test?

The main aptitude test runs from July 27 to July 31, 2026 and is conducted online.

The test covers subjects relevant to your chosen course. Science students are tested in their science subjects. Arts and Social Science students are tested in their respective areas. Use of English appears across all courses.

UNILAG combines your JAMB score and Post UTME score to calculate an aggregate. A strong JAMB score does not protect you if your Post UTME performance is weak — both matter.

How to Prepare for the UNILAG Post UTME

Past questions are everything

UNILAG Post UTME past questions are available online and on preparation platforms. Work through at least five years of past questions for each of your subjects. UNILAG follows consistent question patterns — familiarity with past questions gives you a significant advantage.

Do not ignore Use of English

Regardless of your course, English Language appears in the UNILAG aptitude test. Comprehension, lexis and structure, and oral English are common areas. Prepare for English the same way you prepare your major subjects.

Practice under timed conditions

The aptitude test is online and time-limited. Knowing your content is not enough if you cannot answer questions at the required pace. Practice with a timer from today.

Use the mock examination window

UNILAG offers a mock examination from June 22 to July 26, 2026. Sit it. It shows you the exact interface, format, and timing of the main test. Candidates who sit the mock are consistently better prepared for the real thing.

Important Warnings

  • Do not register late — payment processing, email verification, and form completion take time. Start today, not next week.
  • Your name must match your O'Level certificate exactly — any discrepancy causes clearance problems later.
  • Upload O'Level results on BOTH JAMB CAPS and the UNILAG portal — one alone is not enough. UNILAG has stated clearly that candidates who do not upload on both platforms by August 14 will not be considered.
  • Candidates who do not sit the aptitude test will not be considered for admission — registration alone is not sufficient.

The Bottom Line

UNILAG admission is competitive. The candidates who get in are not always the ones with the highest JAMB scores — they are the ones who completed every step correctly, met every deadline, and prepared properly for the aptitude test.

Registration closes July 8. The aptitude test is July 27 to 31. You have time — but not much of it.
